poblaciones. Su funci\u00f3n principal es derivar parte del caudal hacia los canales de riego de la derecha y de la izquierda, que distribuyen el agua por toda la llanura deltaica. Adem\u00e1s de su funci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola, tambi\u00e9n influye en la din\u00e1mica hidrol\u00f3gica y ecol\u00f3gica de este tramo del r\u00edo.<\/p>\n<p>Por su ubicaci\u00f3n en el tramo final del Ebro y su proximidad al mar Mediterr\u00e1neo, es un espacio con gran biodiversidad. Predominan las especies de peces de agua dulce, pero tambi\u00e9n podemos encontrar especies propias de zonas de transici\u00f3n, con cierta tolerancia a la salinidad.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aves:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Cormor\u00e1n grande (<em>Phalacrocorax carbo<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Ave que se zambulle para capturar peces. Puede encontrarse tanto en r\u00edos y embalses como en zonas costeras. Es caracter\u00edstico por su postura de reposo con las alas extendidas para secar el plumaje, que no es completamente impermeable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gaviota de Audouin (<em>Ichthyaetus audouinii<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Gaviota mediterr\u00e1nea catalogada en peligro de extinci\u00f3n en Catalu\u00f1a. Identificable por su pico rojo intenso. Se encuentra principalmente en el litoral y se alimenta sobre todo de peces marinos, aunque tambi\u00e9n puede pescar en el r\u00edo Ebro, deltas y estuarios.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mart\u00edn pescador (<em>Alcedo atthis<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Peque\u00f1a ave de colores vivos azules y anaranjados que vuela a ras del agua. Captura peque\u00f1os peces lanz\u00e1ndose en picado o desde ramas sobre el agua. Puede observarse en r\u00edos y zonas h\u00famedas, pero tambi\u00e9n en lagunas litorales.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Garza real (<em>Ardea cinerea<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Ave zancuda que captura sus presas permaneciendo al acecho en aguas poco profundas en la orilla de r\u00edos o humedales. Se alimenta de peces, anfibios y peque\u00f1os mam\u00edferos. Tambi\u00e9n puede mostrar actividad durante el crep\u00fasculo o en noches de luna llena.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Milano negro (<em>Milvus migrans<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Ave rapaz migradora que utiliza los bosques de ribera como lugar de cr\u00eda y refugio. Sobrevuela campos, r\u00edos y zonas h\u00famedas en busca de alimento, principalmente peque\u00f1os mam\u00edferos, peces y carro\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Garceta com\u00fan (<em>Egretta garzetta<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Ardeido de plumaje blanco que captura peces, anfibios y peque\u00f1os invertebrados acu\u00e1ticos en aguas poco profundas. Es habitual en humedales, lagunas y estuarios.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Peces:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Lisa (<em>Mugil cephalus<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Pez migrador cat\u00e1dromo y eurihalino con gran tolerancia a la salinidad que forma bancos numerosos. Prefiere lagunas, puertos y desembocaduras, pero puede vivir tanto en aguas marinas como remontar r\u00edos hacia zonas de agua dulce. Se desplaza al mar abierto para reproducirse.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lubina (<em>Dicentrarchus labrax<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Pez de cuerpo alargado, con dorso plateado y vientre blanco. Aunque es una especie marina, es frecuente encontrarla en estuarios y remontando r\u00edos para alimentarse, llegando a zonas bastante alejadas de la costa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anguila europea (<em>Anguilla anguilla<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Especie cat\u00e1droma de cuerpo serpentiforme. Nace en el mar de los Sargazos, crece en r\u00edos y zonas h\u00famedas continentales como el Ebro y regresa al oc\u00e9ano para reproducirse. Las presas y azudes son un punto cr\u00edtico en su migraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Esturi\u00f3n europeo (<em>Acipenser sturio<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Pez an\u00e1dromo con el cuerpo cubierto de placas \u00f3seas. Vive en el mar pero remonta los r\u00edos para reproducirse. Antiguamente estaba presente en el Ebro, pero la sobrepesca, la contaminaci\u00f3n y la construcci\u00f3n de presas provocaron su desaparici\u00f3n. Gracias al programa LIFE MIGRATOEBRE se ha iniciado su reintroducci\u00f3n en el r\u00edo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Peces e invertebrados ex\u00f3ticos:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Pseudorasbora (<em>Pseudorasbora parva<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Peque\u00f1o pez de agua dulce originario de Asia con gran capacidad de adaptaci\u00f3n y reproducci\u00f3n. Se ha extendido por muchos r\u00edos europeos y compite por los recursos con las especies aut\u00f3ctonas, depreda sus puestas y puede transmitir enfermedades.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cangrejo azul (<em>Callinectes sapidus<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Crust\u00e1ceo dec\u00e1podo de tonalidades azuladas, originario de las costas atl\u00e1nticas de Am\u00e9rica. Es una especie ex\u00f3tica invasora; su elevada voracidad y r\u00e1pida expansi\u00f3n en r\u00edos y zonas costeras, especialmente en el tramo bajo del Ebro, constituye una amenaza para la biodiversidad aut\u00f3ctona.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"110\" data-end=\"113\" \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>FRAN\u00c7AIS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le seuil de Xerta-Tivenys est une infrastructure hydraulique historique qui traverse l\u2019\u00c8bre en diagonale entre ces deux localit\u00e9s. Sa fonction principale est de d\u00e9river une partie du d\u00e9bit vers les canaux d\u2019irrigation de droite et de gauche, qui distribuent l\u2019eau dans toute la plaine delta\u00efque. En plus de sa fonction agricole, il influence \u00e9galement la dynamique hydrologique et \u00e9cologique de ce tron\u00e7on du fleuve.<\/p>\n<p>En raison de sa situation dans la partie finale de l\u2019\u00c8bre et de sa proximit\u00e9 avec la mer M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, c\u2019est une zone \u00e0 forte biodiversit\u00e9. Les esp\u00e8ces de poissons d\u2019eau douce y dominent, mais on y trouve aussi des esp\u00e8ces typiques des milieux de transition, tol\u00e9rant une certaine salinit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oiseaux :<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Grand cormoran (<em>Phalacrocorax carbo<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Oiseau plongeur qui capture les poissons. On le trouve aussi bien dans les rivi\u00e8res et les r\u00e9servoirs que dans les zones c\u00f4ti\u00e8res. Il est caract\u00e9ristique par sa posture de repos avec les ailes d\u00e9ploy\u00e9es pour s\u00e9cher son plumage, qui n\u2019est pas totalement imperm\u00e9able.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Go\u00e9land d\u2019Audouin (<em>Ichthyaetus audouinii)<\/em><\/strong> &#8211; Go\u00e9land m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en class\u00e9 en danger d\u2019extinction en Catalogne. Reconnaissable \u00e0 son bec rouge vif. Il vit principalement sur le littoral et se nourrit surtout de poissons marins, mais peut aussi p\u00eacher dans l\u2019\u00c8bre, les deltas et les estuaires.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Martin-p\u00eacheur d\u2019Europe (<em>Alcedo atthis<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Petit oiseau aux couleurs vives bleues et orang\u00e9es qui vole au ras de l\u2019eau. Il capture de petits poissons en plongeant ou depuis des perchoirs au-dessus de l\u2019eau. On peut l\u2019observer dans les rivi\u00e8res, zones humides et lagunes c\u00f4ti\u00e8res.<\/p>\n<p><strong>H\u00e9ron cendr\u00e9 (<em>Ardea cinerea<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Oiseau \u00e9chassier qui capture ses proies en restant \u00e0 l\u2019aff\u00fbt dans des eaux peu profondes le long des rivi\u00e8res ou des zones humides. Il se nourrit de poissons, d\u2019amphibiens et de petits mammif\u00e8res. Il peut aussi \u00eatre actif au cr\u00e9puscule ou lors des nuits de pleine lune.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Milan noir (<em>Milvus migrans<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Rapace migrateur utilisant les for\u00eats riveraines comme lieu de reproduction et de refuge. Il survole champs, rivi\u00e8res et zones humides \u00e0 la recherche de nourriture, principalement petits mammif\u00e8res, poissons et charognes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aigrette garzette (<em>Egretta garzetta<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; H\u00e9ron blanc capturant poissons, amphibiens et petits invert\u00e9br\u00e9s aquatiques en eaux peu profondes. Fr\u00e9quent dans les zones humides, lagunes et estuaires.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Poissons :<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Mulet (<em>Mugil cephalus<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Poisson migrateur catadrome et euryhalin, tol\u00e9rant fortement la salinit\u00e9 et formant de grands bancs. Il pr\u00e9f\u00e8re les lagunes, ports et embouchures, mais peut vivre en mer comme remonter les rivi\u00e8res. Il se reproduit en mer ouverte.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bar europ\u00e9en (<em>Dicentrarchus labrax<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Poisson au corps allong\u00e9, au dos argent\u00e9 et au ventre blanc. Bien que marin, il est fr\u00e9quent dans les estuaires et remonte les rivi\u00e8res pour se nourrir, atteignant des zones \u00e9loign\u00e9es de la c\u00f4te.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anguille europ\u00e9enne (<em>Anguilla anguilla<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Esp\u00e8ce catadrome au corps serpentiforme. Elle na\u00eet dans la mer des Sargasses, grandit dans les rivi\u00e8res et zones humides continentales comme l\u2019\u00c8bre, puis retourne \u00e0 l\u2019oc\u00e9an pour se reproduire. Les barrages et seuils constituent des obstacles critiques \u00e0 sa migration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Esturgeon europ\u00e9en (<em>Acipenser sturio<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Poisson anadrome au corps recouvert de plaques osseuses. Il vit en mer mais remonte les rivi\u00e8res pour se reproduire. Autrefois pr\u00e9sent dans l\u2019\u00c8bre, il a disparu \u00e0 cause de la surp\u00eache, de la pollution et des barrages. Gr\u00e2ce au programme LIFE MIGRATOEBRE, sa r\u00e9introduction a commenc\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Poissons et invert\u00e9br\u00e9s exotiques :<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Pseudorasbora (<em>Pseudorasbora parva<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Petit poisson d\u2019eau douce originaire d\u2019Asie, tr\u00e8s adaptable et prolifique. Il s\u2019est r\u00e9pandu dans de nombreux fleuves europ\u00e9ens, concurren\u00e7ant les esp\u00e8ces autochtones, pr\u00e9datant leurs \u0153ufs et transmettant des maladies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Crabe bleu (<em>Callinectes sapidus<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; Crustac\u00e9 d\u00e9capode bleu\u00e2tre originaire des c\u00f4tes atlantiques am\u00e9ricaines. Esp\u00e8ce exotique envahissante, sa voracit\u00e9 et sa rapide expansion dans les rivi\u00e8res et zones c\u00f4ti\u00e8res, notamment dans le bas \u00c8bre, menacent la biodiversit\u00e9 locale.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"5665\" data-end=\"5668\" \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"5670\" data-end=\"5679\"><strong>ENGLISH<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Xerta-Tivenys weir is a historic hydraulic infrastructure that crosses the Ebro diagonally between these two towns. Its main function is to divert part of the river flow into irrigation canals on both the right and left banks, which distribute water across the entire delta plain. In addition to its agricultural function, it also affects the hydrological and ecological dynamics of this section of the river.<\/p>\n<p>Due to its location in the lower course of the Ebro and its proximity to the Mediterranean Sea, it is an area with high biodiversity. Freshwater fish species predominate, but species typical of transitional environments, with some tolerance to salinity, can also be found.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Birds:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Great cormorant <em>(Phalacrocorax carbo<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; A bird that dives to catch fish. It can be found in rivers, reservoirs, and coastal areas. It is characteristic for its resting posture with wings spread to dry its plumage, which is not fully waterproof.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Audouin\u2019s gull (<em>Ichthyaetus audouinii<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; A Mediterranean gull classified as endangered in Catalonia. It is identifiable by its bright red bill. It is mainly found along the coast and feeds mostly on marine fish, although it can also fish in the Ebro River, deltas, and estuaries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Common kingfisher (<em>Alcedo atthis<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; A small bird with bright blue and orange colors that flies close to the water surface. It catches small fish by diving or from perches over the water. Sa fonction principale est de d\u00e9river une partie du d\u00e9bit vers les canaux d\u2019irrigation de droite et de gauche, qui distribuent l\u2019eau dans toute la plaine delta\u00efque. Dams and weirs are critical obstacles in its migration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>European sturgeon (<em>Acipenser sturio<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; An anadromous fish with a body covered in bony plates. It lives in the sea but migrates upstream to reproduce. It was once present in the Ebro, but overfishing, pollution, and dam construction caused its disappearance. Thanks to the LIFE MIGRATOEBRE program, its reintroduction has begun.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exotic fish and invertebrates:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Topmouth gudgeon (<em>Pseudorasbora parva<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; A small freshwater fish native to Asia with high adaptability and reproductive capacity. It has spread across many European rivers, competing with native species for resources, preying on their eggs, and transmitting diseases.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blue crab (<em>Callinectes sapidus<\/em>)<\/strong> &#8211; A bluish decapod crustacean native to the Atlantic coasts of America.
